2016 Featured Guest Performers

michael-maguireMichael Maguire is perhaps best known to theatergoers for his Broadway debut performance as Enjolras in the original Broadway company of Les Miserables, for which he won a Tony Award, Drama Desk Award and Theatre World Award. He recreated this role for the 10th anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, which has been broadcast nationally on PBS and featured an all star cast from around the world. Mr. Maguire starred as Count Carl Magnus in the New York City Opera production of A Little Night Music, as well as the subsequent PBS “Live From Lincoln Center” production of the show. He has performed all over the United States starring in musicals such as Carousel, Brigadoon, The Desert Song, Annie Get Your Gun, Side By Side By Sondheim, 110 in the Shade, and Showboat. His recent portrayal of Jim Townsend in LA Reprise Series’ production of Strike Up the Band was welcomed with rave reviews. Listen to his lovely rendition of “Bring him home:”

billy-valentineBilly Valentine is a multi-talented vocalist whose varied career has taken him across the United States, throughout the many countries of Europe and even to Oman, a small country in the Middle East. Lately, he’s been frequenting local Los Angeles clubs, such as Café Cordiale in Sherman Oaks, and both The Vic and The Casa Del Mar Hotel in Santa Monica. His glorious singing voice can be heard on the television series, Boston Legal, from the theme song right through to the end of each and every episode. julie-garnyeJulie Garnyé is a performer in Los Angeles, she most recently appeared on The 85th Annual Academy Awards (THE OSCARS), singing in the Les Misérables Ensemble, along with the principals of the Academy Award winning film version on the Boublil-Shönberg musical. She also can be heard in the Disney animated film “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” as the singing voice of the fairy Lyria and in the “Star Turn” episode in the final season of TNT’s “The Closer”. Live performances include “Les Misérables” at The Hollywood Bowl (directed by Richard Jay-Alexander), “CHESS” in Concert at the Ford Amphitheatre and with celebrated Tony Award winners Alan Cumming and Alice Ripley in “Open All Night: The Music of Lance Horne.”
